I’m still stuck in the office on new year eve – not because I have lotsa of works to do (well, I do, but it is not urgent that I have to stay back), but because Company M does not have the policy to have its employees to knock off early. The thing is, Company M is a US company and I thought Americans value New year??!
Sigh – I wish I would have taken a day off today but I need to save for my trips you see..hehe.
And it is raining heavily now…

Xmas
I had a really great time yesterday night with Mr. Robotic, Mr. Congeniality and Mr. Doctor. The trios and myself had a nice buffet dinner at 10 Claymore – Pan Pacific Orchard to celebrate Xmas. The great company coupled with the good food really made the night a special one. It has been a while since I met Mr. Robotic and Mr. Congeniality. How I miss them! Every meeting / gathering with them never fails to make my night end with a smile no matter how sucky the day might be and is a great form to destress. Haha.
It was Mr. Robotic and mine first meeting with Mr. Doctor. Mr. Doctor is someone who is very well-versed in wine tasting. Though he is a doctor, he did not appear to be someone who thinks he is of a higher class than us (not that we are low class ok). Happy that we made a new friend.
I look forward to our next meeting.
Xmas is coming!

Blissful
Today is 20 December 2011, and exactly a year ago, I was married to Mr Lim. We celebrated our 1st year wedding anniversary last weekend by staying at Orchard hotel for a night – the hotel we held our banquet, and going for fine dining at a Japanese fusion restaurant ("Dozo") at Valley Point Shopping Center. It was both our first time at Valley Point and, there is really nothing for you to shop. Dozo has a nice ambience and the waiters were all very attentive. Not a bad place for special occasions.
Mr Lim is really a good husband. I made the right choice and hope I will continue to feel this way. Hehe, I feel loved and blissful!
Happy 1st Year Anniversary, Mr Lim.

My thoughts
琳儿姑娘的心情预报: Busy
I have been very busy since the second day I joined Company M. I believe my learning curve is still pretty steep and have so much to learn, that’s why I feel so busy everyday. In addition, I have to attend at least 2 meetings per day! BUT, I am very happy everyday and notwithstanding that the distance from my house to the company is very far, I still look forward to start my work. At least, I am not experiencing Monday blues as at now – but I am not too sure down the road. Haha.
Managers and colleagues are pretty nice here, most of them are very helpful. My managers are very willing to guide me and to give me greater responsibilities. I feel a sense of trust from them. They inject confidence in me and this pushed me to be more interdependent and the feeling to want to do well.
Time really flies everyday, and I am now in my 4th week with Company M. I hope I will continue to be better as each day goes.
Next Monday will be my first year anniversary with Mr Lim. Just a wink of eyes, we are married for one year already! It seems like I am just married yesterday. Haha.
Looking back this one year, I feel that I have really experience and learnt a lot– from leaving Company D, the comfort zone, to joining Company K, the place where monsters exist (of course, including some nice angelic friends), to taking a short break, and now, to Company M, the learning place, I feel that I have really grown up a lot. Not forgetting that I have been travelling. I love travelling because I get to see/feel/taste/experience the way other people of different countries + cultures behave, the weathers and the food. Haha. Winter is really not my preference time of the year to travel.
AND, I am going Tokyo next year again!
Till then!
