Had a small celebration with Mr Lim for his 29th birthday yesterday. Time really flies, and just a blink of eyes, I have known him for 10 years.
For his birthday this year, I took the shortcut - booking a suite room with Royal plaza @ Scotts and a buffet dinner. However, I am glad he likes this plan - he doesnt like to go out and squeeze with crowds (especially with the Xmas shopping shoppers) and the foods at Carousel was great too.

Actually, I feel guilty towards him, except for the first few years, I had not been making efforts to plan surprises for him, especially on his birthdays. Come to think, till now, he still makes the efforts to plan surprises, gifts for me on special occasions but not the other way round. Perhaps I am getting older and lazier now. To me, it is the daily routines that I am more concerned of. I will make sure he has his tea hot on the table, breakfast available before he goes to work, his working shirts are ironed etc etc..but not planning surprises. Perhaps, in some ways, I have not be putting in effort in our relationship and taking him for granted. I must pay more attention to him and treat him nicer. Ok, this shall be one of my 2011 resolutions!
